Vortex: Cardinal Burke Tells It Like It Is

This is me not blogging. But this Vortex is too good not to share. Thanks be to God for Cardinal Burke and those like him.

If there was ever a time in the Church’s 2000 year sacred history where we need to hear the clear voice of men – of true fathers, it is now – in what is one if not the DARKEST period.

Cardinal Raymond Burke .. the highest ranking American in the Vatican is one such man. He recently gave a lengthy interview which we are going to highlight parts of in today’s and tomorrow’s vortex.

Here is the first punch - 

We as Catholics have not properly combatted it [the culture] because we have not been taught our Catholic Faith, especially in the depth needed to address these grave evils of our time. This is a failure of catechesis both of children and young people that has been going on for fifty years. It is being addressed, but it needs much more radical attention.

Did you catch the adjective he used there – RADICAL? What little wimpy efforts are being done here and there are simply not enough. There is a crisis which most of the hierarchy doesn’t want to admit and nowhere near enough is being done.

Many members of the Church Establishment simply have too much personal investment in maintaining the status quo and are not eager to change things up too much, if at all. They either don’t see, or don’t want to see, or are secretly happy about the massive meltdown. Whichever of these is the case, they are helping to destroy the Church. 

What has also contributed greatly to the situation is an exaltation of the virtue of tolerance which is falsely seen as the virtue which governs all other virtues. In other words, we should tolerate other people in their immoral actions to the extent that we seem also to accept the moral wrong. 
Tolerance is a virtue, but it is certainly not the principal virtue; the principalvirtue is charity.

This comment could have been pulled right out of a Vortex episode, but as happy as we are to find ourselves in complete agreement with one of the leading Churchmen of our day – we cannot claim any originality here on this point.

While many of you have heard us talk frequently about the phony application of tolerance as an excuse by many in the Church to keep the status quo in place – we merely arrived at the same conclusion as many other much braver souls did ahead of us.

There is an intellectual and spiritual rot in the Church these days and those responsible for it have been masterful at disguising it and concealing their tracks. These contradictions must be exposed. 

Charity means speaking the truth I have encountered it [not speaking the truth] many times myself as a priest and bishop. It is something we simply need to address. There is far too much silence — people do not want to talk about it because the topic is not “ politically correct.” But we cannot be silent any longer.

In so speaking, His Eminence presents a manifesto for the enormous course correction the Church must undergo.

As the forces of good in the Church begin to awaken and rise up against the lukewarmness, the complacency, the corruption, the evil and those hirelings who pose as shepherds that Our Bless Lord Himself warned us against – you better believe they are gonna unleash on you.

They staged a coup in the 1960s and over ran the palace. To be sure, the table had been set long before that as even St. Pope Pius X had warned of in 1907, but they lay camouflaged, ready to strike and when the moment presented itself – they did.

Without even realizing it many faithful Catholics, even today, found themselves on the outside looking in. No longer did some of those in charge in the Church care for their souls, they actually carried on the business of dismantling all that thy could get their hands on from before.
It’s is clear time for a counter-revolution to take back the palace. This will take a long time and require much prayer, sacrifice, training and determination. On the timeline of the revolutionaries within the Church ...we are far down the road.

This has been in the planning and executed for more than 150 years. And the diabolical is the one behind it, using either willing allies within the Church OR useful idiots within the Church to affect so great a destruction.

Satan is a destroyer, a bastard whose repugnance and hatred of the Church knows no bounds. When you resist his allies – you fight him – so you better know, go in with eyes wide open that he will bring to bear against you any and every weapon that God permits.

His rage against the priesthood because they bring down God from Heaven, his rage against the Church because She brings souls up to God, his rage against the woman of Genesis and The Apocalypse who ushered in his utter defeat, and his rage against St. Michael who cast him and his sorry cohorts out of heaven – his rage against all of these will be fixated on you – you counter-revolutionaries who seek to undo all he has sewn so perfectly for these centuries.
He and his legions will come after you with everything they have. Yet, in the refuge of our heavenly Father, the old bastard is powerless. He cannot touch you as long as you remain in the bosom of the Church.

Become the brave soldiers you were baptized and confirmed to be. Tell Satan to go to Hell where he belongs. Pray the prayer to St. Michael to crush him underfoot and ram that spear into his guts.

And call upon the Queen of Heaven to crush his ferocious head underfoot through Her Holy and Immaculate Conception and glorious Assumption.

Satan declared war on you the moment you came into existence – now return the favor.

Have no fear of anything earthly. As Cardinal Burke has said – speak the truth, regardless of the consequences – regardless of how politically incorrect.
