Veils and Scapulars

She's back! Gotta love this girl!

In the Diocese of Baker, we don't see a lot of veils. Some parishes have more veil-wearers than others, but overall, veils are pretty sparse.

The funny thing is, some women seem to understand almost intuitively that they should wear a head covering at the Traditional Latin Mass. Or maybe they do it because they've heard you're "supposed to".

But think about it: if it's appropriate at the TLM, why isn't it appropriate at the NO Mass?
Do you suppose there's just not quite the same sense of reverence and awareness of the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist at the Novus Ordo Mass? Hmmm.

And...for your edification, here she is with an interesting lesson on "The Brown Scapular".
